The gent in the picture below is John Cabot. Before researching him after my run today I knew nothing about him…turns out he really is a man worthy of a statue. In 1497 he sailed from Bristol harbour on a ship named Mathew (replica pictured below) discovering of parts of North America under the commission of Henry VII of England. This was commonly held to have been the first European exploration of the mainland of North America since the Norse Vikings‘ visits to Vinland in the eleventh century.
I’m sadly finished E Myth today. Although classified as a business book this could easily be in the self-development section too – I’ll definitely listening to this again soon. Michael closes E Myth talking about spirit and curtains. Spirit – it’s always there but sometimes you need to find it again. Curtain – the curtain is the thing that keeps the light (openness) out. Keep the curtain open….I have no doubt John Cabot kept his open – Is yours?
Until tomorrow, keep running toward better!
I listened to 100% of The E-Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber
