Run 33/34/35/36 – Excuse or priority?

At the start of the year I committed to a blog post per run, but today I’m publishing one post for the last four runs completed. My excuse is simple; I’ve had a good friend from out of town visit and my time has been better spent catching up with him. Not only was I fortunate enough to have him in town for five days, but I was also managed to spend over 6 hours running 75 km with him.

“There’s a fine line between commitment and obsession. Sometimes we need need to take a step back and remind ourself what is most important.”

Just because you’ve told yourself you’re going to run 100km a week, break a 4 hr marathon, or what ever your goal might be, don’t think you can’t reprioritise…but make sure it’s a reprioritisation and not an excuse.

Until tomorrow, keep running towards better!
